During my acceptance speech at the start of my presidency last July, I focused on the need for us to collaborate with any organization interested in helping fulfill our AHRA mission — to educate, develop, mentor, and provide resources to medical imaging professionals. Almost a year later, I’m proud to share we’ve made great strides in forming meaningful relationships that will help advance our profession and industry as a whole.

There’s excitement building this time of year. Seasons are changing, just enough of the year has passed to reflect and look ahead to what’s next — and within AHRA there’s plenty to keep us humming. Top of mind is opening voting for our new board of directors and president-elect, as well as ramping up for the 2024 Annual Meeting. 

Lately I’ve been thinking about legacy — how the actions and choices we make today will impact the outcomes and trajectory of tomorrow. AHRA has a rich legacy, with our many members upholding the association’s forward movement. We each have a role to play, offering our different strengths and talents that add to the patchwork tapestry of our association.

Is it just me or are you also getting excited as we head into spring? In the Midwest, we could have weather in the 60s one day, snow the next and then back up to 70 degrees the following day. This is a sign that spring is just around the corner.
